Awards 2010 - Vehicle Recovery: The AA
26 January 2010
The big two battled it out in this sector again this year, with the AA taking the win, back after a year when RAC held the title. This year's win gives The AA first place in three out of the past four years.
Operating under the Fleetwide name, The AA's breakdown cover is not only the best known, but it's also now business's favourite breakdown cover, thanks to voting by BusinessCar readers.
The AA offers fully flexible and adjustable levels of cover from a straightforward roadside assistance service working up through Home Start and Relay cover to Relay Plus, which provides alternative travel options on top of the Relay's recovery to a UK mainland destination of your choice.
The AA also offers European breakdown cover for fleets, with English-speaking assistance wherever you call from.
Roger Williams, head of fleet recovery, said: "As one of the UK's most trusted brands, providing an essential service to more than 1.6 million fleet drivers every year is of the utmost importance, and the fact that readers have voted for us in this category is testimony to our efforts.
"Throughout 2009 we have continued to improve our roadside customer experience by the use of specially developed tooling and technology for our patrols."
