Epyx has made it three years in a row as best software provider in the BusinessCar Awards. This time last year we predicted the organisation's pace of development was unlikely to abate, and we weren't wrong, as it continues to go from strength to strength.
Part of the reason for its success - and why it scored so highly in our awards - is its interactions with its customers. Back in April, it formed a supplier group for rental companies using its 1link Hire Network platform, the purpose of which was to regularly meet with fleet managers who use its system to make sure customers are getting the best out of it.
The company can't rest on its laurels just yet, though, as increasing costs in the daily rental sector mean it has to move with the times and ensure it is helping fleets make the most of their budgets.
Head of customer service, Gary Gibson, said that fleets weren't always looking for the cheapest deal around, but rather the one that gave them the best value for money: "Even though prices are rising, daily rental companies that base their offering on a balance of mid-market pricing and competitive service levels are still winning the bulk of business. It is all about meeting the needs of each particular fleet."
