The start point for the best source of fleet information

Techies 2012 - Best Fleet Management System: Zenith Pulse

Date: 21 August 2012

Zenith's Pulse takes the top spot for this year's Best Fleet Management System. It operates from a central web interface and allows managers to monitor their essential fleet data remotely. The firm claims: "Any transaction that passes through our organisation can be analysed, providing. a level of visibility that has never been available before."

The system monitors too many elements to list here, but they're all displayed in a dashboard format as graphs and tables, which are easy to decipher and compare.

Of particular note is the costs function, which calculates a real-time pence-per-mile figure for every vehicle, incorporating the impact of individual drivers and the exact model derivative. Once the costs have been calculated, it is possible for businesses to benchmark their figures against those of similar fleets, which gives them the opportunity to discover where further savings can be made.

Our judges also raved about the system's use of the web to provide fleet managers with the relevant information.

Two firms qualified for the highly commended award: ALD with Profleet 2 and Chevin with Fleetwave. Our judges noted excellent comprehension within the Profleet 2 system with detailed data that is easy to access. Fleetwave has undergone a major overhaul within the past year and now offers automated alerts for annual requirements such as driver medicals and vehicle maintenance, as well as a whole-life costs calculator. Chevin has also developed a Green Car Share Function, which matches the journeys and requirements of staff to promote car-sharing opportunities.
