The start point for the best source of fleet information

Techies 2012 - Best Risk Management System: Jaama Key2

Date: 21 August 2012

The winner of this year's leasing and contract hire prize, Jaama's Key2 system, proves that it's equally adept at handling risk management too.

Acclaimed by our judging panel for its straightforward and apt use of technology to "make life simpler and overcome problems", the Key2 system allows businesses to manage company-owned vehicles as well as grey fleets, and collates records of safety data, training and accident history and fuel data among others, all of which can be viewed as a whole or by individual drivers. The result is that fleets can consolidate the information and implement cost savings and more effective driver training methods.

The programme also flags up managers' attention in the direction of non-compliant employees and anyone racking up significantly higher than average mileage and hours behind the wheel.

Drivers are ranked via a traffic light system on their level of risk based on factors such as mileage, accident record and driving penalty points. The system can also interact directly with employees, sending them email and text reminders about servicing and MoTs and more general nudges about tyre tread and pressure.

Highly commended are both FSG's Riskmaster and E-Training World's bespoke training system. The latter is an in-office risk assessment and training programme that can be branded up with company logos to give the impression of an in-house system. Riskmaster is claimed to be the first in the fleet industry to use SAP business intelligence solutions in its memory base, enabling it to link up to any other telematics provider a company is already using.
