BusinessCar Awards 2013 - Telematics: TomTom Business Solutions

TomTom Business Solutions adds this latest prize to the Best Telematics System category it won for its online Webfleet system in the BusinessCar Techie awards last autumn.
The firm launched Webfleet Mobile for iPad and Android tablets early last year, making the fleet management system more accessible for remote working or fleet managers on the move, and it also announced a new vehicle maintenance planning tool designed to minimise scheduled vehicle downtime.
TomTom's corporate fleet business passed the 200,000 mark for vehicles managed by Webfleet in 2012, with in excess of 16,500 businesses across 40 countries, and the company announced late last year that it is partnering with the Energy Saving Trust in Scotland to work with public sector organisations in an attempt to improve drivers' fuel efficiency through training.
"This scheme offers welcome advice and support to organisations, while bringing more awareness to the considerable savings and efficiency gains that can be made using TomTom fleet management solutions," said Giles Margerison, director UK & Ireland for TomTom Business Solutions.
