The number 13 might be unlucky for some but that’s not the case for Autoglass, as this year sees the windscreen repair business notch up a baker’s dozen of successive wins in this category.

In 2013, the firm’s managing director Matthew Mycock previously confessed that he didn’t think it had done enough in the fleet sector in years gone by.

“When I came in it wasn’t a sector we had paid enough attention to. I don’t honestly think we’d really stopped and thought about the complexities of fleet and lease,” he told BusinessCar in March.

The firm responded by upping its fleet sector staff and introducing a series of measures to reel in more corporate business. National sales manager Jeremy Rochfort said: “This year, we have invested heavily in our fleet and lease offering to ensure we have the right expertise and technology.

“We know the prevailing concern for fleet managers is the cost of vehicle downtime, and we have adopted innovations such as the Vanbrella [a cover on the side of the van for working in the rain – pictured above].”
