It’s a second victory for CFC Solutions in the 2009 BusinessCar Techies, with the firm’s new Contracts Manager system grabbing the prize for the Best Leasing and Contract Hire System.
Although this award was also open to leasing companies to show how they are using technology to help the fleet manager, it’s actually a firm helping the leasing companies, as well as brokers and fleet management firms, that most impressed the judges.
Launched last March, Contract Manager is CFC’s first web-hosted system, and is designed to manage every activity a contract hire or leasing company needs to carry out across management of contracts, sales and marketing operation and accounting.
CFC claims it is suitable for firms with 200 or 200,000 vehicles, and can cover everything from quoting, account management and vehicle acquisition through to SMR, accident management and remarketing. It can also be customer-branded to look like a contract hire or broker company’s own development.
Contract Manager is also CFC’s first programme to be sold under the principle of software-as-a-service. That means the software company hosts the system online and provides support, while the customer is charged according to the monthly number of users. CFC says the principle has become commonplace in other areas of the software industry, and sees it as the way forward in fleet software.
CFC boss Neville Briggs said Contract Manager “allows us to provide a very sophisticated but easy-to-use product that is available to all contract hire and leasing companies”. CFC sister firm Pendragon Contracts is already using it, with CFC claiming “many others expressing strong interest”.
