1. What was your first job? Labourer on a building site

2. What was your first company car? Rover Metro (used car salesman)

3. What did you listen to on your last car journey? Amy Winehouse, Mary J Blige and Tim Minchin (Australian comedian)

4. What one thing do you wish you could do better? Tell jokes

5. What's your biggest achievement? Parenthood

6. Who are your role models? Ian Botham, my Dad

7. What's the stupidest thing you've done? Allowing my best man and my ushers to persuade me on the eve of my wedding that we should go to the pub to discuss the arrangements for the following day and that we would only have a half!

8. What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting? Qashqai supply

9. What's in your garage? Bikes, stuff for the garden and a lot of red wine

10. What's the worst thing about your job? Being away from my family, although that's now quite rare

11. What one law would you make or change? Fortunately, not my call

12. What keeps you awake at night? Not much

13. Who is your ideal celebrity date? Cameron Diaz - a weekend of sun, surf and er... conversation, obviously
