Trainee engineer at the Heysham 2 nuclear power station

2 What was your first company car, and what do you drive now?

Vauxhall Vectra and Jaguar XF.

3 What did you listen to on your last car journey? 

The Today programme on Radio 4.

4 What one thing do you wish you could do better?

Spend more time with my two sons.

5 What's your biggest achievement? 

Becoming CEO of the country's oldest and biggest transport trade association - it's a great honour to be able to represent the UK's logistics industry and influence Government thinking on transport issues.

6 What are your three favourite films? 

Dirty Harry, Up (pictured), Ant-Man.

7 What's the stupidest thing you've done? 

Not working as hard as I could have done for my A-levels.

8 What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting?

Investment priorities.

9 What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind? 

Jaguar motor cars.

10 What's the worst thing about your job? 

There aren't enough hours in the day.

11 What one law would you make or change? 

I'd make a law that all overhead signs on motorways had to be accurate.

12 What did you want to be when you grew up?

A farmer.

13 Who is your ideal celebrity date?

Actress Julia Roberts.
