The Maserati man has five kids and needs a Lotto win.

1. What was your first job?

A part-time porter in the County Hotel, Canterbury, Kent, while studying at the age of 15.

2. What was your first company car?

A Ford Escort 1.3GL - unfortunately in yellow!

3. What did you listen to on your last car journey?

LBC - a topical debate between two political heavyweight leaders.

4. What one thing do you wish you could do better?

Predict six lottery numbers with an element of success.

5. What's your biggest achievement?

There are five of them - my children!

6. Who are your role models?

My late father - a grenadier guard and friend. RIP.  Martin Johnson (England rugby world cup-winning captain) - a giant in many ways, an inspirational leader of a team, who led from the front line.

7. What's the stupidest thing you've done?

Unwittingly, I left my car overnight outside a hotel in central Glasgow - unlocked and with the window fully down, keys in the ignition - during a really bad winter storm. And, amazingly, it was still there in the morning, albeit full of leaves and a tad wet inside.

8. What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting?

Who was paying for lunch.

9. What's in your garage?

Gardening equipment, trampoline, bicycles, rowing fitness machine, tools, compost, and very occasionally, a car.

10. What's the worst thing about your job?

Having to use the M25 on a regular basis.

11. What one law would you make or change?

Keep large freight/haulage traffic off the M25 (and other motorway hotspots) during rush hour. Encourage them, through potential incentives, to use motorways during off-peak hours/nighttime only.

12. What keeps you awake at night? I sleep easily, but unfortunately also awake at any noise. So smartphones, Kindles, iPads, TV - everything has to be off or on silent before I nod off.

13. Who is your ideal celebrity date?

Sheryl Sandberg (chief operating officer at Facebook). With social media becoming an ever increasing and important area for business development within Maserati GB, I would hopefully gain some more innovative ideas.
