1 What was your first job?
Unsure if a paper round or ironing in a ladies' clothes shop on a Saturday really counts. My first job was in inbound sales for one of the UK's leading PC manufacturers, now no longer in business.
2 What was your first company car, and what do you drive now?
The first was a Ford Escort Ghia. Nowadays, between the vehicles from our leasing pool, I'm in my 10th year of Renault Vel Satis ownership, which must indicate madness.
3 What did you listen to on your last car journey?
Andrea Bocelli's Cieli di Toscana. I apologise to anyone who's had the misfortune of overhearing me attempt to sing along.
4 What one thing do you wish you could do better?
I'll be bold and say conquer my loathing of the telephone, being very much a digital person, and shy to boot.
5 What's your biggest achievement?
Formerly, taking a business of mine to its peak. Latterly, spending a week with some of the finest cars in the world.
6 What are your three favourite films?
Good Will Hunting, Stephen Poliakoff's Joe's Palace film for the BBC, and The Intouchables.
7 What's the stupidest thing you've done?
I accidentally sent a jubilant, celebratory email to a new client instead of to my colleagues at a software firm
8 What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting
The redesign of the Contracthireacar.com website, along with whether additional microsites are worthwhile.
9 What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?
Television presenters, as my natural knowledge of who presents what and other details surrounding their careers is quite impressive, if a tad useless.
10 What's the worst thing about your job?
Dress-down Fridays, as I possess more suits and formal clothes than I do casual clobber.
11 What one law would you make or change?
I'd love to see the law that prohibits cyclists using pavements amended so that it only applies during off-peak times, saving commuters from having to jostle with bicycles on the roads.
12 What did you want to be when you grew up?
I never had a set career in mind, my aspirations fluctuating regularly between being a lawyer, forestry ranger, antiques dealer or writer.
13 Who is your ideal celebrity date?
Amanda Stretton, the motoring journalist and racing driver.
