A record store assistant.

2 What was your first company car, and what do you drive now?

A Peugeot 205 GLD five-door and a Mercedes GLE Coupe 63 AMG.

3 What did you listen to on your last car journey?

The Grateful Dead.

4 What one thing do you wish you could do better?

Getting our family business to a turnover of £30m

5 What's your biggest achievement?

Formerly, taking a business of mine to its peak. Latterly, spending a week with some of the finest cars in the world.

6 What are your three favourite films?

Goodbye Mr Chips, Saving Private Ryan and Platoon.

7 What's the stupidest thing you've done?

Cycled naked through a bar.

8 What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting

Recruitment.

9 What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?

The Vietnam War.

10 What's the worst thing about your job?

Finding time to think.

11 What one law would you make or change?

The one that stops drivers being properly punished when they kill another road user or pedestrian.

12 What did you want to be when you grew up?

I just wanted a job - I grew up on a rough council estate in the '80s.

13 Who is your ideal celebrity date?

The singer Janis Joplin.
