Nearly there

I've been partly enjoying the new journey time data on the Highways Agency's information boards at the sides of the motorway recently.

I say 'partly' because while the signs give you information about the time it will take to get to the next junction, and they've so far been 100% accurate, what I want is journey times to a host of places to know what's the quickest route.

So, while it may take seven minutes to go from M25 J13 to J12 (M3 turning), I'd also like to know how long it would take to go from M25 J12 to M3 J3. Because for all I know the M3 may be static. And if it is static, then I can take a cross country route from M25 J13 to M3 J3.

And there must be thousands of people wanting similar accurate info.

Providing this level of info is clearly going to be tricky but equally it's info that already exists. It's just a case of providing the info - free.

Any ideas welcome.
