As you know if you are a regular reader of this blog I'm a big fan of technology so I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to link technology to a Christmas theme.

As you know if you are a regular reader of this blog I'm a big fan of technology so I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to link technology to a Christmas theme. This site has been around for a few years now but this year there is a link with Google Earth so if you aren't already aware you can track Father Christmas (http://earth.google.com/santa/) over the Christmas holidays as he does his rounds delivering presents around the world.

In other news the EU look like they have finally agreed a target on the long running CO2 debate. It was announced yesterday that the manufacturers will have to hit an average of 120g/km across their range by 2012 or else face financial penalty. As the current CO2 average for new cars sold is 167g/km there seems to be some way to go in only four years so no doubt this will be a challenging target for some manufacturers. One of the easier ways to drop your CO2 average is to have a diesel engine so perhaps we will get to see a diesel Aston Martin in the near future!!

I'm off now for the Christmas break so I wish you all a relaxing, enjoyable and safe Christmas and New Year. I look forward to bringing you more of the latest technology stories in 2008.
