BusinessCar Office Blog: 2 February 2009 - Suddenly four-wheel drive makes sense

Date: 02 February 2009   |   Author: Tristan Young

BusinessCar's staff are all working from home today due to the snow, although, well-done to dep ed Barker for briefly making it to the office before being told to go home.

My long term Subaru Legacy diesel, which I already suits me down to the ground,, came into its own this morning thanks to its all-wheel drive.

While it would have been daft to tackle the southern section of the M25 this morning for risk of another driver spearing into me, the Legacy made light work of dropping my daughter at her nursery - down a quiet, but seriously snowy, country lane.

While other drivers were slithering around and getting stuck, the Subaru didn't put a foot wrong.

Given we've seen some pretty good fuel figures of late from the car (see our long term reports), there doesn't seem to be a downside to the Subaru's four-wheel drive.
