The start point for the best source of fleet information

BusinessCar Office Blog: 28 August 2009 - Land Rover's fleet connections

We don't normally talk much about car launches at BusinessCar as we tend to concentrate on the cars themselves or news stories. However, the latest Land Rover launch has a dedicated fleet angle.

Land Rover traditionally goes a little further off-road with its launches than its rivals (such as driving up the river Tweed) and makes use of the fact it sells cars into businesses that often own huge tracts of land.

Previous launches have used army and air force land, but with the facelifted Discovery and Range Rover Sport last week Land Rover called up its contacts at Scottish Water and asked to borrow a dam. As you do.

The result was a spectacular lunch venue in the UK's largest earth dam - at Megget reservoir's pumping station - and some great photography of the new Discovery.
