The start point for the best source of fleet information

FLEET SPEAK: 16 October 2010 - Rating the BusinessCar website ratings

Date: 16 November 2010

I love BusinessCar's annual rating of carmakers' fleet websites, which kicks off on page 9 of this issue, because I know it has an impact.

Last year, we had two manufacturers who were concerned about the fact we had not received a reply to our email query, one of which I know carried out an in-depth enquiry taking in company executives to get to the bottom of it. We have also had carmakers asking us to re-rate their fleet websites when they launch a new one, after taking our criticisms into account. One well-known brand this year even wanted to know when we would be next running the article so they could make sure that their updated site was live in time to take part.

All of which means BusinessCar's independent observations, comparisons and ratings are genuinely helping build more useful and better-designed company car websites. And that can only be good for everyone.

Congratulations to those manufacturers at the top of this year's chart; and to those that aren't, don't take it personally - at least we've highlighted where improvements need to be made!

On a different note, apologies for a touch of self-indulgence on the cover of this issue - BusinessCar has been awarded the Best Trade Publication title in the Headlineauto Awards, the only major prizes awarded to the automotive journalism industry. We're quite chuffed about the judges' decision, so felt the need to share it!
