The start point for the best source of fleet information

FLEET SPEAK: One hundred and still going strong

It's BusinessCar's birthday! The issue out today is number 100 since the Fleet Week and Fleet Management titles morphed into an exciting new magazine in September 2006, and so much has happened in both this magazine and in the industry in that time.

We've broken plenty of new stories, ruffled a few feathers and published more top-notch features and test reports than I'd care to count. We've introduced successful features such as the peerless BusinessCar Power List, ranking the most influential 50 figures in the fleet industry. I always look forward to the aftermath of that one - when some big names within the industry drop me a line to let me know how much stick they're getting for being rated as more influential in our sector than the American president!

We also, throughout the year, rank the top business car manufacturers annually in a number of areas, including their fleet-specific websites and their green efforts, features that always provoke feedback and discussion. Over the past four years, BusinessCar has made features such as these its own, and will continue to do so for the next 100 issues and beyond.

There's also the industry's only technology awards - see page 13 - which reward those deemed the best in each of 11 different categories. Well done to the winners and to the highly commendeds. And thank you to all those that entered and didn't win - it was an arduous, argumentative and very difficult process this year, and the quality of entries meant many difficult decisions. But there could only be one winner in each category, so congratulations to each of the technology champions.
