BusinessCar Awards 2014 - Crossover: Skoda Yeti

Date: 28 January 2014

Since its launch in 2009, the Skoda Yeti has been a popular user-chooser choice in the crossover market, and now it's scooped the BusinessCar Awards category win.

The Yeti is positioned at the practical end of the crossover market, with a big boot plus MPV-style seating that can be slid, folded or even removed for ultimate space.

While the majority are sold in front-drive form, the Yeti has the added advantage that the all-wheel drive versions will go further off-road than most crossovers thanks to some very clever electronic traction aids.

Those after ultimate economy can opt for a Greenline version, which is powered by a 105hp 1.6-litre diesel and has a CO2 figure of 119g/km and an official fuel stat of 61.4mpg. Residual values are some of the best in class, and subsequently whole-life costs are impressive too.

A heavily revised Yeti is about to hit the UK with much enhanced front-end looks, equipment upgrades, and a split range to cater for those looking for either a more rugged look with an Outdoor-branded model, or a more conventional on-road style.
