BusinessCar Awards 2014 - Fast-fit: Kwik-fit Fleet

Date: 28 January 2014

Last year was a big one for Kwik-Fit Fleet.

Not only did it notch up 20 years at the top of the fast-fit category in the BusinessCar Awards, but it also introduced a new rebranding initiative, known as Kwik-Fit Plus.

The move follows the fast-fitter's acquisition by Japanese conglomerate Itochu Group almost three years ago, and comprises the renovation of a cluster of sites in the South-East in a bid to move upmarket, and reeling in more servicing and repair work from both cars and LCVs as opposed to simple tyre replacements.

Fleet director Peter Lambert explained the firm's plans for the immediate future: "Kwik-Fit has further developed its LCV sector proposition, continues to increase the number of Kwik-Fit Plus centres it has in the UK, and plans to refurbish a further 100 centres this year."

He added that the firm is also attempting to change the way in which fast-fit centres are perceived: "The challenge in 2014 remains to move the image and reputation of the fast-fit industry in the minds of the leasing industry, fleet managers and company car and van drivers away from simply being a 'fast-fit operator' to being a provider across a wide range of products and services, including all-makes and models vehicle servicing and MoTs."
