If you really want to know what people think then you should ask them, which is exactly what we do.
The BusinessCar Awards aren't decided by the views and opinions of journalists or even senior members of the fleet and leasing industry: the winners are chosen by you, the readers.
We launched the voting for the Awards in print and online in October, and our secure online voting system enabled fleet operators and members of the industry to have their say about the cars, products and services they felt benefitted them the most.
We've kept the Awards categories largely the same as last year's because we felt they accurately represented as many relevant corners of the fleet and leasing industry as possible.
We have, however, created a new Highly Commended runner-up slot for the headline award categories: Manufacturer of the Year, Service Supplier of the Year and Green Car of the Year.
The purpose of these is to reward the cars and companies that notched up a healthy number of votes from fleet operators but were pipped to the post by the overall winners.
This year marks the return of a physical ceremony for the Awards, too, supported by fuel card giant Allstar.
At the same time as the results are published, both in print and online, BusinessCar's team will be busy presenting trophies to the fleet bosses and senior industry personnel whose products and services you have voted the best in the field this year.
