The most dominated category of the BusinessCar Awards is this one, which Kwik-Fit Fleet has now won for an unbroken and unparalleled 21 years in a row.
Last year was a quieter one for Kwik-Fit than 2013, when parent Itochu Group announced new investment and showed the direction the company is heading in. So 2014 was about making the most of that investment and completing projects.
A new, mobile tyre-fitting operation came into effect early last year, joining significant investment to boost the company's attempts to move its sites upmarket. The new Plus centres offer more appealing waiting areas, with wi-fi, television and a coffee machine, as well as longer opening hours. The idea is to compete with the experience of a manufacturer's dealership for servicing and repair work, but at a lower price.
Light commercial vehicles have also been more of a focus in recent times, with many sites upgraded with class 7 MoT bays.
Kwik-Fit Fleet's market domination is clear, but its expansion plans and capability make the readers of BusinessCar feel it's still worthy of the Fast-Fit award.
