Trakm8 has won the Fleet Software category after a year of rapid growth, which has seen the company track two billion miles' worth of data from its telematics software.
The company uses this information to provide information on corporate drivers' behaviour to help improve areas such as fuel economy and reduce accident risk. Improvements to the way Trakm8 works with its fleet clients over the past 12 months include tailored technical support and regular visits to help with driver training or bespoke projects.
Fleets can use Trakm8's software to replay routes when investigating a road traffic incident or insurance claim. This feature reconstructs a journey using Google Street View and identifies the driving style.
As a result of its growth this year, Trakm8's sales and customer support team has doubled in size from 80 to 160. This year, the company is also investing in more innovation, with the appointment of software engineers from the likes of Aston Martin, RAC and Continental. Part of Trakm8's improvements last year also included a new website, with a fresh new design and improved user navigation.
