The start point for the best source of fleet information

BusinessCar Awards 2015 - leasing / fleet management: Alphabet

Date: 27 January 2015

Alphabet has claimed a fourth successive win in the leasing and fleet management category following a big year of new launches, appointments and growth. The firm's risk fleet grew by 6.7% to 130,162 vehicles, and it appointed Martin Quail as its new chief commercial officer to lead the company.

Consistently one of the UK's top three leasing operations, Alphabet launched its own fleet broker service in 2014 to promote premium and electric vehicles to the SME market.

The firm also walked away with the BusinessCar Techies Editor's Choice award for its AlphaElectric consultancy service, which helps fleets review the business case for adding EVs to their fleet. Alphabet is now a leader in electric fleet, exceeding its target of leased EVs by 24% to reach 758 vehicles.

Lex Autolease, the UK's largest leasing provider, was Highly Commended this year. It grew by 5.9% to an incredible risk fleet size of 289,317 vehicles. The firm also revamped its end-of-contract process and is heading towards a 400,000-vehicle mega-fleet by 2018.

Highly commended: Lex Autolease
