BusinessCar Awards 2015 - Premium Lower Medium: Audi A3

Audi's win in the Premium Lower Medium segment is the brand's only entry in this year's awards and it highlights just how highly the A3 is thought of among BusinessCar's readers.
The car has attracted hundreds of thousands to the brand. It's particularly important for Audi in the fleet market, enticing Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf customers looking to take the step up to a premium badge before (hopefully) moving to an A4.
The range is extremely competitive, with an impressive line-up of versatile engines starting at 99g/km for the 1.6-litre diesel. Running costs outclass BMW's 1-series and Mercedes' A-class at 43.0p per mile, compared with 47.3ppm and 47.7ppm respectively.

The car's key rival, the BMW 1-series, is Highly Commended. It is big business for BMW in fleet, acting as an entry-level product for the brand, and is desirable, good to drive and efficient to run.
