AA Drivetech has put in a consistent performance over the past 12 months to win the Risk Management category for the second year in a row.
AA Drivetech sits within The AA's Driving Services operation, alongside AA Driving School, BSM, Intelligent Data Systems and fellow risk management brand Peak Performance. Originally established in 1990, it is now the UK's largest provider of fleet risk management and driver education services.
The company has gained a reputation for excellence and innovation and helps fleets with training for drivers, as well as offering full risk management audits and driver licence checks. The firm focuses on education, not punishment, and does a lot to help fleets through the UK's legislative minefield with its duty of care and legal compliance offerings.
Voters were clearly impressed with the potential for risk management audits and driver training to make a positive impact on their bottom line: AA Drivetech claims a 20% reduction in total fleet costs for businesses using its driver training courses. Training can improve fuel consumption by 7% and reduce wear and tear on tyres, brakes and clutches by 5%. Better-trained drivers mean fewer accidents, less administration and less lost time.
