BusinessCar Awards 2016: Accident Management - The AA

Date: 26 January 2016

This is a fourth consecutive win in the reader-voted BusinessCar Awards for the AA's accident management operation, a service that dovetails with the risk management, driver training and licence checking operations also run by the automotive giant.

The firm describes accident management as a "one-stop, cost-effective outsourcing service for vehicle fleet operators [that is] specifically designed to help reduce the cost of accidents and vehicle incidents, reduce downtime, save management effort and improve administrative efficiency."

The AA allocates a dedicated incident coordinator to manage the process in the wake of an accident, including repairs, liaison with insurers, personal injury claims and uninsured loss recovery.

The AA states that the key benefit of accident management is reduced vehicle downtime and business disruption. With dedicated fleet managers unburdened by additional business responsibilities becoming rarer, outsourcing of services such as fleet management is increasingly common.

Clearly, the readers of BusinessCar and BusinessCar.co.uk have pointed to the AA's accident management operation as the one best serving their needs in these resource-stretched times
