Techies 2013: Best Fleet Management System - Zenith Pulse

Date: 20 August 2013

It is evident that this was a  hard-fought category because it is one of only three where we have awarded two companies Highly Commended status. But beating the pair of them was Zenith, with its Pulse platform picking up the Techie award for Best Fleet Management System for the second year in a row.

Since that 2012 victory, the Yorkshire-based leasing and fleet management firm has continued to evolve its innovative fleet diagnostic tool, focusing particularly on maximising fleet efficiencies and reducing both spend and emissions. Recent updates include the addition of a tool to track vehicle build and delivery times, and one to report on all greenhouse gases, not just CO2, on both an individual customer and a car manufacturer level.

Highly Commended for the second year in a row was Chevin, with its Fleetwave 2.0 system. Upgraded early last year from the original Fleetwave launched in 2001, Chevin claims to be the first in its sector to launch a web-based fleet software solution with the original Fleetwave, and the updated version now includes a so-called KPI Wizard and around 50 modules covering various aspects of fleet management.

Also Highly Commended in this fleet management category is Civica's Tranman system. One judge commented on the excellence of the latest development of a simple grey fleet management control dashboard, which is designed to proactively ensure drivers are compliant. Other key stated aims of the Tranman system are to help control costs, manage compliance and improve operational efficiency.
