Manheim's Remarketing Management System is, the company professes, a web-based enterprise solution designed to help owners and managers integrate all remarketing activity into one application.
RMS is claimed to provide a seamless link from original vehicle registration through defleet and sale, ensuring vehicles are therefore described as accurately and early as possible, including vehicle condition, and providing timelines and status reports from various suppliers.
This includes links to defleet and refurbishment partners so they can obtain early access to vehicle inspection information and images.
Used by Volkswagen and Mazda among the one million vehicles already managed and processed, RMS has also been taken on by PSA Peugeot Citroen to manage 250,000 vehicles across its European dealers.
Manheim claims to offer full audit capabilities, enabling analysis of the performance of each different channel.
Highly Commended was the UK's largest remarketing firm BCA for its Vehicle Video Appraisals. Kicking off with selected light commercial vehicle stock, the video appraisals are helpful to online buyers, and BCA says it has taken inspiration from other sectors' activities such as the property market.
The firm's initial feedback found that the videos gave more than 70% of customers the confidence to bid higher, with 73% saying they would be more confident about bidding using BCA's Live Online system as a result of the videos, which give a 360° view of the van's interior, exterior, roof and load bay.
