The start point for the best source of fleet information

Techies 2017: Fleet Management

Date: 25 July 2017

Chevin's FleetWave software underwent significant development earlier in 2017 to become FleetWave 2.9, which introduced a host of clever new features that help fleet managers deal with pertinent issues currently affecting the industry.

Among the headline additions is a new PCN Fine Manager, which identifies parking fine hotspots, as well as monitoring, processing and managing fines and related expenditure. Customers using the new tool have already reported an average 12% reduction in parking fines as a result and users can upload photos into the system to support appeal claims and create timelines for any appeal tracking.

Another new feature is risk profiling, which allows fleets to create driver risk scoring tables by comparing driver information such as age, experience, accident rate or type, training, licence history, behaviour scores (in combination with telematics data), fuel economy, daily mileage and more, to help create detailed risk profiles on each individual driver. It's an important feature that helps fleets keep their drivers safe and install a proper training and support process for those drivers who need it.

Fleetwave has been around for a long time, but the recent 2.9 updates - specifically the PCN Fine Manager and risk profiling - are aimed squarely at helping fleets deal with the current issues affecting the industry. Here it's the small things that will really make a difference to fleet managers and Chevin has proven once again why its software is among the best in the business.
