Arval overhauled its customer service and marketing offering this year after reacting to its customers increasingly using smartphones and tablets to interact with its services.
The leasing firm launched its Smart Experience in March to make it possible for fleets to be managed on the move. The judges were impressed with how wide-ranging the Smart Experience is, with five areas of Arval's services optimised for mobile devices. This includes a website resource for fleet managers to view video reviews, live maps of service and maintenance locations, invoicing, and industry news.
Smart Experience also includes a mobile-optimised website application that drivers can use to, for example, identify their closest approved service centre and book their car in for a service.
Other changes include a new free Drive challenge app, which can help influence a driver's behaviour. Staff earn badges based on improvements in how they accelerate and brake, measured through their smartphone's GPS system. The overhaul also includes a new social media strategy with new accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Vauxhall's fleet toolbox was Highly Commended for offering fleet managers a host of web tools to help them calculate what vehicle is best financially and personally, putting Vauxhalls up against the competition for unbiased comparison.
