Audi has announced two new petrol engines - a 160PS 1.8-litre destined for the A3 and A4 line-ups, and a 210PS 2.8 heading for the A6.
The 1.8 replaces both the 1.8 turbo and 2.0 normally-aspirated units from the current range, while the larger engine slots between the existing 177PS 2.4 and 256PS 3.2-litre units.
