C-charge suspended between Christmas and New Year

Date: 21 December 2006

Transport for London has announced that the congestion charge will not operate between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, resuming as normal on Tuesday 2 January.

It's the third year in a row that TfL has handed drivers this Christmas present, as traffic levels are lighter during the festive period. However, all other enforcement regarding bus lanes, red routes and yellow box junctions will operate as per normal.
