The start point for the best source of fleet information

Citroen's new van Dispatched early '07

Date: 21 November 2006

These are the first official pictures of one of three LCVs coming to market early 2007 to dominate the small panel van sector.

Developed jointly with the Fiat Scudo and Peugeot Expert, the new Dispatch is barely indistinguishable from its siblings.

Citroen's LCV boasts a new range of diesel HDi engines that promise better fuel efficiency than its predecessors. There's also a healthy boost to the Dispatch's load-carrying abilities, with volumes and payloads far greater than the vans it replaces.

Some versions will even be able to be specify a novel self-levelling pneumatic suspension that has the ability to adjust loading height.

The new Dispatch will also have more safety equipment with ABS, brake assist and a driver's airbag fitted as standard. ESP will be available as an option on launch as well as a passenger airbag. Curtain bags will be optional on the forthcoming five- and nine-seat 'combi' models.

Prices are expected before the Dispatch's February launch.
