The start point for the best source of fleet information

Citroen's seven-seat Picasso revealed

Date: 09 August 2006

Citroen has released early details and official pics of its new MPV.

Boasting seven seats, not the current Picasso's five, the new C4-based MPV brings a whole host of refinement and comfort boosting features, along with a fleet-friendly 6-speed automatic option that reduces emissions by 5g/km and improves economy by 5%.

The new car gains Vauxhall Zafira-style second and third rows of seats that fold flat into the floor. Other highlights include, Citroen said, class-leading refinement and comfort, thanks to soundproofed windows and rear air suspension.

Rear passenger will also be treated, not only to a better ride, but also optional DVD screens.

Citroen claimed its new Ford S-max and Zafira rival will have fine quality within its light interior, possessing an uncluttered feeling of space and airiness.

Prices haven't been announced but expect it to be available from less than £16,500 when it goes on sale early next year. The C4 Picasso makes its debut at the Paris motor show.
