Exclusive! Land Rover greenlights Disco van

Date: 02 October 2006

Land Rover has confirmed it will build a commercial vehicle version of the Discovery off-roader. The 4x4 van will still have five doors, but only two seats.

The rear doors and rear windows will be replaced with panels.

The CV version will go on sale toward the end of the year, according to Land Rover's UK managing director John Edwards.

Prices have yet to be revealed for the Discovery van, which will precede both a heavily revised Defender, to be powered by the Transit engine, and a commercial vehicle version of the new Freelander.
