Ford turns new model attention on fleet

Date: 28 June 2006

Ford has just completed a four-stop UK tour, taking its new Galaxy, S-max and Transit models out to more than 400 fleet customers and prospects.

Ford hosted 472 test drives over the four events, in Peebles, Scotland, Newbury, Berkshire, Northwich, Cheshire and Coventry, as it introduced the vital new Transit and its MPV siblings S-max and Galaxy.

The company claims a success rate of 57% of visitors saying it had positively influenced them in their fleet policy, 45% influenced to place an order and 35% requesting a demo vehicle.

It's a busy year for Ford, as well as the two new MPVs, the entire commercial vehicle line-up will have changed this year.

The new Transit will be joined by the new Ranger pick-up in September, while the Transit Connect and Fiesta van will both be facelifted by the year end.
