Freelander prices announced

Date: 25 September 2006

Land Rover has announced full pricing and specification for its eagerly anticipated Freelander 2.

Pricing begins at £20,935 for the 160PS 2.0-litre TD4 variant, stretching to £33,990 for the luxury HSE trim with the 233PS 3.2 petrol.

Standard spec for the TD4-only S includes aircon, CD, alloys and heated door mirrors. Stepping up to the GS spec adds larger 17-inch alloys, trip computer, auto wipers and lights, as well as climate, cruise and parking sensors.

XS brings an uprated sound system and front parking sensors and electric seats while SE introduces an electric sunroof, heated seats and a 6CD in-dash autochanger and satnav.

Opting for the range-topping HSE adds 18-inch alloys, a 14-speaker sound system and climate control that adjusts for humidity.

All pricing includes CO2 offset for 45,000 miles of driving.
