GE launches own-brand fuel card

Leasing giant GE Fleet Services has added an own-brand fuel card to its portfolio of services offered to business car managers.

Set up in conjunction with Shell, the card will allow GE to offer in-house fuel management services to its customers and will be run through GE Fleet's Key Solutions consultancy operation.

Linking with Shell means the card can be used at Shell, Esso and Total forecourts - a total of 3000 sites.

Rich Green, managing director, said: "On average, fuel costs account for around 28% of company vehicle running costs, so by harnessing the data captured from the new card, our Key Solutions consultancy team are able to identify potential areas where fleets can actually reduce both fuel consumption and expenditure."
