Mercedes launches corporate risk package

Date: 26 July 2006

Mercedes is preparing to launch a range of driver training packages for corporate drivers.

There will be at least eight packages run from the Mercedes' new showcase outlet at Brooklands in Surrey. The Brooklands site includes a test track area that allows for specialist driver training.

Leading the packages is a half day corporate responsibility training scheme that costs £100 and includes improved stopping, hard cornering, slippery surfaces, avoiding accidents and how to avoid carjacking.

"We're launching a corporate responsibility package that's being run by Brandscape who already run off-road courses for M-class customers and performance courses for AMG customers," said a Mercedes spokesman. "There are 30 different packages in total including our retail packages. We're just launching the programme now and the first courses start in six weeks. There's been a lot of interest and we're already taking bookings."
