Mercedes ups the CL-class

These are the first official pictures of Mercedes Benz's new svelte CL coupe. The flagship model, based on the technologically advanced S-class will be available with either a 5.5-litre petrol V8 or V12. The V8 develops 388PS sprints to 62mph in 5.4secs, while the monumental twin-turbocharged V12 pumps out 517PS annihilating the dash to 62 in just 4.6secs. Prices are expected to be in the region of £80,000 when the super coupe goes on sale next spring.
