Peugeot mulls service inclusive roll-out

Date: 23 August 2006

Peugeot is considering rolling out the service inclusive pack, currently on offer on the 407, to the rest of its range.

Peugeot has introduced a fixed price service menu for fleets in the past month and, according to fleet boss Steve Harris, is now looking at other ways to help fleets.

The fixed price plan has 250 dealers signed up, all of which agree to set pricing on parts and five regional labour rates. There are also minimum standards for the outlets including a loan car.

"We originally started the fixed price servicing for lease and contract hire firms and it was an opt-in package. We had 32 lease companies signed up; now it's open to all business customers, all they have to do is ask," said Harris.

"The service inclusive package is available on all 407s and makes all routine servicing free for the first three years and 60,000 miles.

"We're looking at rolling it out to other models," he added. "On the 407 it typically reduces the monthly rental by up to 10%."
