Renault revises small van range

Date: 29 December 2006

Renault has made some tweaks to its small van line-up, rebranding the Clio van as the Clio Campus Van in line with its car range, and revising the Kangoo range.

Despite the launch of a new Clio hatchback 12 months ago, Renault kept on the previous model (the mark II) under the Campus nameplate, and changed the LCV's name to coincide with a revised front and rear bumpers, new tailgate, and £640 price cut. The move is designed to add appeal in the face of Vauxhall's new Corsavan, arriving early next year.

The Kangoo has also been given a working over, with the entry-level SL dropping in price by £300. The SL+ trim now gets electric door mirrors and trip computer (previously a £100 option) while new additions to the options list are driver-controlled speed limiter (£50) and security pack, consisting of lateral and passenger airbags, for £370.
