Slight rise in traffic levels

Traffic levels rose just 0.2% last year, a slowing in growth despite car traffic dropping by the same margin, according to the latest Department for Transport figures. Motorway traffic was up 0.4%, other major roads were down 0.4% and minor road traffic was up 0.8%.
