One of the most distinctive models on UK roads has been updated, with the unveiling of a new generation of London taxi.
The new TX4 has been designed and manufactured by LTI Vehicles, and for the first time has standard ABS and meets Euro4 emissions regulations.
The power now comes from a 100PS 2.5-litre diesel from Italian firm VM Motori, replacing the previous Ford unit.
Other changes include new coil-spring suspension plus upgraded interior specification and comfort.
LTI has poured more than £5m into the new vehicle's development that has included 620,000 miles on the test track. First deliveries are imminent.
