Vauxhall scores with Arsenal deal

Date: 22 November 2006

Vauxhall and sister GM UK brand Saab have agreed a two-year contract to supply Arsenal Football Club with a total of 38 vehicles.

The vehicles range from Saab 9-3s for senior staff, through Astra and Vectra models to a 17-seat Movano minibus for the club's academy players.

The two-year/36,000-mile deal covers senior managers and backroom staff, so we won't be seeing Thierry Henry or Theo Walcott cruising north London in a new Vectra.
