VTX models given RV uplift

Date: 19 September 2006

Citroen Xsara Picasso VTX

Citroen's range of business-focused VTX models have been given a residual value boost by CAP and Glass's, according to Ian Hughes, head of fleet & remarketing, Citroen.

Hughes reckons the used values are now £10 per month better than an equivalent Desire model. "It's a good rubberstamp from the guides," said Hughes, "and differentiates our consumer cashback offering from our business offers."

The VTX models provide a good standard of equipment, such as alloy wheels, air conditioning and electric windows, with a competitive list price, but are not subject to discounts or offers available on Citroen's consumer cashback deals.

"Our VTX range brings benefits for companies, such as lower NI contributions, along with advantages for company car drivers since their benefit-in-kind tax is reduced thanks to the lower P11D value," continued Hughes.

The savings for both company and driver are illustrated in the table below. The Desire model is shown before any cashback incentives are applied.
