Audi announces mighty V8 Q7

Audi has dropped its barnstorming 4.2-litre diesel V8 into the huge luxury Q7.

Thanks to the 326PS engine's best efforts the V8 Q7 is one of the fastest 4x4s ever built, sprinting to 60 in less than 6.4 seconds.

The Q7 comes with substantial standard kit and can even be optioned with gigantic 21-inch rims.

Audi's large 4x4 will be available in five-, six-, seven- or even four-seat configurations when it goes on sale around June with a hefty price tag in excess of £60,000.
