Leasing giant LloydsTSB Autolease has issued a handy reference list for business car operators running cash-for-car schemes.
The list arose from a best practice workshop held by Autolease for its customers. The list was set out by keynote speaker Brian Cooper, a tax expert with accountancy firm KPMG.
Adam Trevaskus, head of strategy at Autolease, said: "It is certainly true there are a number of risks associated with offering cash-for-car schemes without robust policy. If a managing director or fleet manager didn't think the environmental and Health & Safety issues were reason enough, hopefully the financial arguments should convince them to revisit their documentation."
