The start point for the best source of fleet information

Fiat axes Croma

Date: 28 February 2007

Fiat Croma

Fiat has dramatically dropped the large Croma from its car range following poor demand from both retail and business customers.

Last year the big hatch failed to register on fleet's radar with combined sales barely breaking 500 units, compared to 3255 business sales of the Vauxhall Signum it's based upon.

A Fiat UK spokesman said the sales figures speak for themselves: "Even by our estimates the Croma has performed badly.

"We have limited resources in the UK and do not feel we are in the position to give the Croma the financial backing it needs to approach the market.

"Instead we will focus our finite resources on other models in the Fiat range including the Bravo that arrives in the summer."

Despite the Croma being dropped, UK right-hand drive production continues for other markets and the Croma can be specially ordered from the factory.
